Developing high-precision and adaptive radiation therapy technology

“With proton therapy you want to avoid as much dose as possible on healthy tissues. One way to achieve this is by continuously adapting the radiation plan to the changing anatomy and biology of the patient. In my role as a researcher and medical physicist I research and implement the methods and tools to do this in a clinically meaningful way.”

Dr. Anggraeini Puspitasari Kokko

”As a radiation biologist with a medical background, I am committed to advancing research on the biological effects of particle irradiation, particularly proton therapy, in cancer treatment. My primary focus is to explore how radiation interacts with both cancerous and healthy tissues, with the goal of optimizing therapeutic outcomes. Through collaborative investigations conducted both in vitro and in vivo, I strive to contribute to the development of more precise and effective radiation therapies, ultimately improving patient care.”
