Principal Investigator dr. Anggraeini Puspitasari Kokko
Research focus
My research centers on Monte Carlo–based radiation transport modeling as a quantitative foundation for experimental and clinical proton therapy research.
As scientist responsible for the research beam line at Holland Proton Therapy Center, I work at the interface of experiment and computation. I integrate Monte Carlo simulation directly into experimental design, beam characterization, and data interpretation, enabling uncertainty-aware and reproducible research workflows.
I am one of the lead developers and architects of GATE 10, a next-generation Monte Carlo simulation platform built on Geant4. Through this work, I contribute to the development of sustainable, extensible, and scientifically rigorous simulation infrastructures that support advanced modeling and large-scale research collaboration.
Other areas of my research concern proton imaging, including proton radiography and proton computed tomography, physics-based statistical modelling of detectors, and image reconstruction. I also explore physics-informed AI approaches, where machine-learning methods are used as acceleration tools within validated simulation frameworks.
