Internationale kennisdeling tijdens ESTRO 2026
Van 15 tot en met 19 mei is in Stockholm het jaarlijkse congres van de European Society for Radiotherapy and Oncology, beter bekend als ESTRO 2026. Tijdens dit internationale congres delen zorgprofessionals, onderzoekers en technologische experts de nieuwste ontwikkelingen binnen radiotherapie en oncologie.
Verschillende collega’s leveren, ook vanuit het HollandPTC research consortium, een bijdrage aan het wetenschappelijke programma. De presentaties en posters richten zich onder meer op protontherapie, behandelplanning, workflowoptimalisatie, toxiciteitsreductie en technologische innovatie.
De bijdragen laten zien hoe kliniek, onderzoek en technologie samenkomen. Onderwerpen variëren van probabilistische evaluatie en automatische behandelplanning tot patiëntvoorkeuren, proton minibeam therapy en efficiëntere zorgprocessen binnen protonentherapie.
Ook is er aandacht voor samenwerking tussen protonen- en fotonentherapie. Mischa Hoogeman verzorgt een invited talk binnen de sessie No therapy is an island: Cross-fertilisation between photon and particle communities.
