How to apply to use our research facilities

Great to see that you are interested in using our research facilities. Please follow the application procedure as described below and we will contact you as soon as we have received your submission at the Research Office.

Before you can start your study or experiment at HollandPTC, or before a grant submission, your proposal/application will be reviewed. It will be assessed whether your research fits within our research programme and/ or if your experiments will be practical and financial feasible.

Are you writing a grant proposal and would you like to request a letter of support?

  • Please fill out the HollandPTC R&D checklist and send the form together with 2 suggestions for independent experienced knowledgeable reviewers to the Research Office at least 6 weeks before the submission deadline.
  • Send a budget sheet to the Research Office at least 3 weeks before the submission deadline.
  • Your request will be reviewed internally according to our review criteria (see below).
  • Based on the outcome of the internal review, the board of directors of HollandPTC then decides whether or not to support the proposal and accredit the requested support from HollandPTC.
  • You will receive notice from the Research Office.
  • Please inform the Research Office of the decision of the funding agency.

Would you like to use our research facilities?

  • Please fill out the HollandPTC R&D checklist and send the form to the Research Office.
  • Your request will be reviewed internally according to our review criteria (see below).
  • When all the criteria are met, we will help you with a more detailed research plan and setting up your research within HollandPTC.

As a researcher from Erasmus MC, LUMC or TU Delft, you can use our research facilities in-kind. If you are a researcher from another university or organisation (outside the consortium), please contact the Research Office about the possibilities and costs of using our research facilities.

 

Review criteria

  • Strategic considerations, assessed by the Programme Board
    Does the study or experiment fit within the HollandPTC R&D programme?
  • Scientific quality, assessed by the Programme Board or two approved external reviewers (contacted by the researcher)
    Contact the Research Office for more information.
  • Practical feasibility, assessed by HollandPTC R&D panels, consisting of HollandPTC employees with different domains of expertise
    For example, the involvement of personnel and the requested use of our facilities will be assessed, as well as possible additional costs involved.
